How does Spider-man deal with sweat patches? I ask this as an absolutely disgusting sweat monger who actually used to leave wet footprints in the hall at Karate. I mean I tried a top that looks very similar to Spider-man's today - The Champion Compression Performance Carment (which I can't say with a straight face) which is actually designed to prevent sweating - and had no luck. Okay so it has air vents under armpits (which look cooler than they sound), but after 5 minutes on the treadmill that didn't stop my neck, back and elbows from sweating. And boy does this thing show sweat... And boy is this thing hard to get off when covered in sweat...
So that's the bad, but it's not all bad by any means. I mean afterall I did say this was a top that looks very similar to Spider-man's and I wasn't kidding. I mean I always feel like a superhero anyway (what with being mildly retarded and all), but in this thing I actually look a bit like one too. It's superflattering and real emphasises the muscles, infact you can even see the veins in my forearms. In short you look super cool (although you feel slightly exposed at first), and if you look cool you feel cool, and if you feel cool then you have a good session.
This good session is helped very much by the lightness and the tight fit which makes you feel limber and bouncey and light. Personally the minute I put it on I want to run around like a hyperactive kid. So in short it looks cool, but maybe isn't quite as practical as it claims. Sure you'll marginally improve your session as a knock-on effect of feeling light and looking cool, but you'll at the same time get quite hot and it does tend to ride up and crease... For a more practical alternative I recommend the shorter sleaved version.
