How to Get TallerBy Adam Sinicki Trying to add an extra inch to your height and get taller is an age old pursuit, though one that's mostly kept quiet (no one wants to admit they're unhappy with their height). Having said that I myself am guilty of looking it up and following some of the techniques advised. In our desperation we are often willing to try all sorts of things (on the sly of course) that deep down somewhere we know is not really going to work. Yet we still hang upside down from our pull up bars for hours at a time and then stand in front of the mirror trying to convince ourselves we look taller and that suddenly women are going to drop at our feet. Well you do if you're me... So does any of it work? The answer is yes and no. Really my advice to you is to give up and just be happy the height you are, but if you must keep trying, here are some techniques that have some merit. Anything else is a scam (or a painful medical procedure) so don't spend your hard earned cash (or even cash you've stolen or won). Extra Height Insoles and ShoesActually insoles have a lot of merit and are a guaranteed and inexpensive (a fiver off of eBay) way to gain an inch or two in height. They slip into your shoes (under your regular insole if you don't want anyone to know) and gain you immediate height. Just the slight different is really noticeable and it can give you a slight psychological advantage or a bit of extra confidence. Taller people have statistically better jobs so I wear them to interviews, however it can also leave you a little off-balance and be a little uncomfortable. StretchesAllegedly it's possible to get taller by stretching your spine (no more than an inch) bystretching it for a while each day. If you want to try it use the yoga movement 'salute to the sun'(in press-up position but with your bum low and head held high), stretching for the ceiling andarching your back while on all fours. Hold each for ten seconds and repeat several times beforebed. Just don't expect a miracle. Growth HormoneGrowth Hormone is produced naturally in the body and used to repair wounds, build muscle and when we're young to help us get taller. Increasing the amount of growth hormone in your body then will help you gain height but only if your growth plates are open (they generally close around the age of 20-27). Taking HGH directly is illegal, but you can also increase your body's own GH production with Gaba which is legal in most areas (and also used as a muscle builder, fat burner, sleeping aid and anti-depressant). Failing that a hot shower, a set of squats or sprinting can naturally increase production for a short period of time (most effective just before bed). We produce GH in our sleep so the longer you sleep the more you'll produce. PostureYour mum always told you to stand up straight and she was right. Just improving your posture can make you appear taller so puff that chest out and straighten your back. At first you'll need to keep reminding yourself but a habit forms in 30 days so there's the light at the end of your tunnel. NeckTheoretically you can get taller by increasing the length of your neck. Yes it's a little insane but is a definite option for the desperate - and in some cultures it's normal practice to use bands to stretch the neck by wearing them permanently (using similar methods you can also shrink your waist and create all kinds of other body changes). Don't go too far though or you'll lose the ability to support your head, and just look a little strange. Discus this article on the FORUM!Copyright 2012 The Biomatrix.Net
