Whether you're looking to become a superman or just want to improve your health there's something here for you. Prepare to become you, only more so.
Review: Never Back Down 25/08/08 Having just bought the DVD I have recently re-discovered the awesomeness that is 'Never Back Down'. Unfortunately it seems the majority of reviewers fail to share my enthusiasm of the film (at the time of writing Rotten Tomatoes has it at around 20%) and so I felt I needed to give it some love right here.
The main problem most reviewers seem to have with the film is that it's uninspired in that it very closely follows the conventions of the fight film... Read more...
New Blog: The Bio Blog! 24/08/08 As much as my Adam Sinicki blog seems to be successful, I never really felt it was very relevant to the viewers of this site (don't worry, the old one will still be there). And so I introduce: The Bio-Blog! A blog where I can report on my experiences in weird, cutting edge, and underground training techniques as well as my 'bodylab' experiments. Currently there's just one old article there about tea but stay tuned for some interesting developements in that area... Read more...
Review: Body Supreme Pure Whey Protein 23/08/08 There comes a time for all of us when the temptation beckons and we buy an inferior product just because it's cheaper. It happened to me just recently when, in my defense, my cash flow had reached an all-time low. Up until that point I'd been happily enjoying the delicious and very effective EAS Whey Protein and the sensible thing to do would have been to suck it up and splash out the £35 for a tub that would have lasted longer and been far better quality. However, being the tight-fisted bastard that I am I instead opted for Body Supreme as a cheaper alternative...

New Article: Be Quicker in the Gym 21/08/08 Many people who fail to take up a new training regime (Si) blame lack of time as one of the major factors standing in the way of massive guns. Well I’m about to blow that excuse out of the water by showing you how you can make your gym sessions 10-20 minutes shorter while improving the intensity at the same time.

Update: Gallery 20/08/08 The frankly lame gallery section of the site has been renovated making it a lot less lame. The old confusing system is gone and we now have two new picture galleries as well as a 'YouTube Finds' section bringing you the best training, martial arts, bodybuilding and transhumanism vids from the net. This is just the tip of the iceberg though, stay tuned for more.

New Article: Why Everyone Wants Brad Pitt's Body 17/08/08 While browsing this site I saw an article that asked why people would want Brad Pitt's abs as opposed to those of arnie and the like. To me the answer to this puzzle seemed fairly straightforward and that goes for the rest of the body as well. Before I begin I feel it is only fair to point out that I myself am not a bodybuilding fanatic, I do however go to the gym twice a week for fitness and to attempt to build a body slightly bigger and stronger than the average man. Therefore my perspective may be different from those who see the Swarzenegger body type as perfect as we obviously share different goals... Read More...
New Article: Fight Like Batman: The Keysi Fighting Method 07/08/08 The new Batman 'The Dark Knight' has been lauded for being perhaps the most realistic superhero film to grace our screens. This is especially true of the fight scenes, where the choreographers decided to pick a little-known yet highly effective fighting style (not a martial art according to the official website) for Batman to use when taking on the Joker and his cronies; the Keysi Fighting Method or KFM... New Article: Improve Your Senses 07/08/08 Your senses are another aspect of yourself that can be improved through training. Like anything, it is merely a case of repeated use. 'But I always use my eyes and ears!' I hear you say (that's how good my hearing has become!). It's a good point, but the fact of the matter is that you often aren't really paying attention to your senses. Read More...

In The News: The Secrets of Anti-Aging Genes 20/07/08 An ambitious plan to sequence 100 genes in 1,000 healthy old people could shed light on genetic variations that insulate some people from the ailments of aging, including heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, allowing them to live a healthy life into their eighties and beyond. Rather than focusing on genetic variations that increase risk for disease, scientists plan to focus on genes that have previously been linked to health and longevity. Read more...

New Review: Weider 32% Protein Bar 29/06/08 That strange stylised image that appears on all Weider products could lead you to believe he's some kind of Kernel Kentucky of the bodybuilding world (what that would entail I have no idea...). Unfortunately this bar is no-where near the lofty heights of good old KFC in terms of quality... Read more...
New Article: A Brief Guide to the Martial Arts 27/05/08 Kung Fu as we know it was originally developed in the Shaolin temple (shaolin meaning 'little tree'). Weak at the time from fasting, the monks who lived their were easy prey for bandits and so are said to have been taught the most basic chi exercises and self defence by the legendary Bodhidarma. According to the tales Bodhidarma won them over by meditating in a cave for five years, where apparently his concentration was so powerful that it bore a hole in the wall he was facing. He never seemed to teach the other monks his lazer-vision though.... Read more...
New Article: Become an Incredible Hulk 24/05/08 Many articles on this site deal with how to become stronger at the same time as leaner with the emphasis on strength and fitness and muscle mass just as a happy bonus. In honour of the new film however, the training methods decribed in this article will explain how to become just like the ever-lovin' Hulk himself - except probably not green... Read more...

New Article: Run Faster - Training to Improve Your Running Speed 19/05/08 Obviously if you want to improve your running speed you should practice firstly by running, varying your speed between sessions and regularly attempting to push your top speed. You can practice at set points or use what I call 'incidental training', which is when you turn an ordinary task into a training opportunity for example by running to the shop or to work. Personally I run practically everywhere. Like a mentalist... Read more...
New Article: The Pros and Cons of Training 15/06/08 As a site that focusses on training to improve performance, with emphasis on bodybuilding, the Biomatrix.net is often very positive about taking up a training programme. But like any good journalist knows it's important to give a balanced view and so I present you with all the negative aspects of training. And then hit you with the good stuff again - no one likes a whiner... (The coin represents 'the flip side' of training... it's a visual metaphore, and very clever) Read more...
Review: Iron Man 13/05/08 Tony Stark, AKA the Invincible Iron Man, makes a great poster boy for self-enhancement and transhumanism; he is a man who decided he wanted to improve himself and so set his intellect to the task. He's also a man who has an awesome suite that can fly and shoot missiles. That's why he's always been my favourite super-hero, and that's why it was with bated breath that I went to see the new film... Review: GABA 11/05/08 Gaba is a bodybuilding supplement that's recently been banned in the UK but is still relatively easy to come by on E-bay. Primarily it's supposed to cause your pituatary gland to produce more growth hormone, up to 600% more apparently, and this then leads to the good stuff: fat burning and muscle building... New Article: The Home Legs Workout 09/05/08 Many gym goers looking to get a 'beach body' or similar cliche will leave out training for their legs to their own detriment. Bodybuilders and athletes know however that the legs are just as important as the arms, even if the main purpose of your training is to get toned and pull girls... Read more...
