There's already a creatine review on this site for the Prolab version. Generally creatine is pretty much of a muchness, and any mild scientific difference in delivery or dosage is unlikely to be noticeable at an observable level. To recap then - creatine is a great product that really does work making you more energetic and giving your muscles mildly more bulk from water retention (in fact the review has become more positive as I've had more experience with the stuff). So why write another review?
Well I really just wanted to point out the terrible design of this creatine really (Maximuscle's Creatamax 300). Okay so the Prolab one didn't mix well and didn't taste great - but this one doesn't mix at all and tastes terrible and all at a slightly higher price. When I say it doesn't mix at all I really mean it too - literally after a second you'll have a pile of horrible powder at the bottom of your glass that tastes like paracetamol. The advice of the manufacturers? Take it with your protein shake. Now okay this works (though it even effects the taste of the shake), but the packet recommends you take five scoops a day during the loading phase. Whether or not you agree with loading on creatine it should at least be possible - who on Earth takes five protein shakes a day?? Three is probably the optimum amount but probably a large proportion still stick to one. But five? Seems like a 'clever' way to sell their protein shake to me...
Fortunately being a genius I've come up with a solution which is to mix the powder in your tea - you have more than five a day (if you're anything like me it'll be considerably more) and the heat helps it to dissolve (and my results suggest it doesn't lose its biological value). It will effect the taste of your brew (not as badly if you take sugar) but by combining creatine and caffeine you're also giving yourself a nice little energy cocktail. So there's one answer, the other? Stick to Prolab.
